Edna Codey Knox
July 04, 2012Mrs. Edna Codey Knox, 76, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
The funeral service will be conducted at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
Mrs. Knox, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, had been a resident of Greenville for 38 years. For 17 years she was employed as an accounting clerk with Wachovia, and also with H & R Block for 5 years, retiring in 1992.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Anna Kaiser Codey.
She is survived by her:
husband of 58 years, Preston Knox;
children, Terry Knox,
Susan Knox Pickup, both of Dallas, TX, and
Michele Knox Mitchell, of Wake Forest;
granddaughters, Kristin and Andrea Stocks, and Sarah Pickup;
sister, Virginia Marxen; and
brother, Melvin Codey, both of Louisville, KY.
