Virginia Dail Brown
November 24, 1919 - July 23, 2012Mrs. Virginia Dail Brown, 92, died Monday, July 23, 2012.
The funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2 pm in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Brown, a native of Greene County, had been a lifelong resident of Greenville. She was employed with Jane Shop in children’s retail, and retired from (PCMH) Vidant Medical Center in the cashier’s office. She was a faithful member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. She dearly loved all her church family, her many friends, her family and her favorite hobby, flowers.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, J. Tom Brown; son, Larry Thomas “Tommy” Brown; and second husband, Charlie Mills.
She is survived by her:
daughter, Lois Brown Eidson and husband, Wayne;
son, Donald Wayne Brown and wife, Diane, all of Raleigh;
grandchildren, Brownie Eidson and wife, Paige, of Tarboro,
Carol Sherwood and husband, Chris, of Charlottesville, VA,
Larry Thomas Brown, Jr., of Dare Co., NC, and
Don Brown and wife, Stephanie, of Raleigh;
six great-grandchildren; and
sisters, Evelyn Davenport, of Stokes,
Selma Richards, of Birmingham, AL, and
Barbara Hamlin, of Jacksonville, FL.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
