Carlton Hubert Mills
August 16, 1933 - July 31, 2012Mr. Carlton Hubert Mills, 78, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 4 PM in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Mills, son of the late Hubert and Hollie Evans Mills, was a Pitt County native. He lived most of his life in the McGowan’s Crossroads community, where he farmed and worked in construction for a number of years. He was a member of Black Jack Free Will Baptist Church.
Mr. Mills was preceded in death by his two sisters, Doris M. Hudson and Vera Belle Spain.
He is survived by:
daughters, Delores Whitehurst and husband, Danny, and
Deborah Mills, all of Greenville;
four grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:30 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
