Pauline "Nana" Rena Hubbard Sandeford
October 27, 1935 - August 04, 2012Our beloved Pauline “Nana” Rena Hubbard Sandeford, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed August 4, 2012, peacefully with her loving family by her side.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Pauline, a native of North Hampton County, retired from Greenville Utilities after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. There was no greater joy in her life than to be a mother, grandmother, and friend. Always thinking of others before herself, Nana lived the good life of love. There is a void in our hearts today. Know that Nana is in every sunset and sunrise; every flower and bird. The lesson learned, the lesson lived, the lesson forever more. Let us be ever mindful of the needs of others. Thank you Momma for sharing your beautiful life with so many. Pauline left us with two special quotes, “Let us be ever mindful of the needs of others,” and “ I’M FINE.”
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Joseph and Lucille Porch Hubbard; sister, Gertrude Bennett; and great-grandson, Kolton Bryce Moore, who forever lives in her heart.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Ann Sandeford and husband, Greg Reynolds, of Carolina Beach, Wanda Leigh Sandeford and George Harrell, of Grimesland, and Cindy Kaye Sandeford Lewis, and husband, Wayne Lewis, of Forest, VA; grandchildren, Kristen Riggs Moore and husband, Barry Keith Moore, Jr., of Farmville. Justin Brooks Foster, of Burlington. Sarah Lewis Huggins and husband, Michael Wayne Huggins, of Richmond, VA, Mark Bryant Lewis, of Roanoke, VA, Kaitlin Leigh Riggs, of Wilmington, Matthew Faison Lewis, of Forest, VA, Marissa Grace Reynolds, of Carolina Beach, Joseph Wright Lupton of Grimesland, and Hope Qing Lewis, of Forest, VA; great-grandson, Barry Keith Moore, III; sister, Barbara Ann Floyd, of Brodnax, VA; brothers, Robert Joseph Hubbard, Jr., of Roanoke Rapids, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Hubbard and wife, Gwen, of Lake Gaston, and Thomas Lee Hubbard and wife, Camille, of Gaston; and several nieces and nephews, along with lifelong friends.
