Mr. John B. Speciale, Jr., 77, died Sunday, March 7, 2010.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday 1:30 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Burial will be private in the Coastal Carolina VA Cemetery in Jacksonville.
John was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the United States Army and was a Korean War Veteran. John retired to North Carolina with his wife, Carolyn in 2001.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Giovanni and Caterina Speciale, brothers, Martin, David and Frank Speciale, and a sister, Mary Capadona.
He is survived by his:
wife of 10 years, Carolyn Speciale;
sons, Jeff Speciale and wife, Sandy, and
Patrick Speciale and wife, Jean, all of McHenry, IL;
niece, Linda Sullivan and husband, Frank, of Winterville, NC;
nephews, Frank Speciale, of Greenville, NC, Michael Speciale and wife, Hazel, of New
Bern, NC, and Mark Speciale and wife, Andrea, of Santa Barbara, CA;
brother, Sam Speciale and wife, Charlotte, of Huntley, IL;
sister, Angie Dietrick and husband, Don, of Lake Placid, FL;
16 grandchildren; and
12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 to 1 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
