Polly Ann “Mrs. T” Parrish Troutman March 07, 2010

Polly Ann “Mrs. T” Parrish Troutman, 75, died Sunday, March 7, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Polly now walks the streets of gold in Heaven with her beloved husband, Marvin.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 14 at 2 pm at Landmark Baptist Church.
Polly graduated from high school in 1953 and went to work at the Bank of Wilmington where she met the love of her life Marvin. Mr. and Mrs. T owned and operated Troutman’s Hairstyling Academy of Jacksonville, NC. She later worked as a teacher at Mitchell’s Hairstyling in Greenville, NC, Troutman’s Beauty School of Wilmington, and Riverside Hair Styling Academy of Jacksonville, FL.
Polly had a love for cooking and sharing her recipes with friends and family. She was very active in Landmark Baptist Church and served on the fellowship committee and as a greeter. Polly and her late husband Marvin will always be remembered at Landmark Baptist Church as “huggers” as they embraced their friends each week and told them how much they enjoyed their friendship. She was affectionately known by her grandchildren as “Sugar” and “MaMa”.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Marvin Troutman, parents, Rev. Leslie and Stella Parrish, and sister, Juanita England.
She is survived by her:
daughters, Shirley Roberts and husband, Todd, of Middlesex, NC, and
Gwen Edwards and husband, David, of Greenville;
sons, Lee Troutman and wife, Lorri, of Emerald Isle, and
Bill Troutman, of Jacksonville, FL;
stepdaughter, Becky Sides and husband, John, of Harrisburg, NC;
grandchildren, Steven and Sandra Taylor, of Summerville, SC, Lauren and Chad Webb, of Grimesland, Kaylen
Edwards, of Wilmington, Ashley Troutman, of Wilmington, Corey Troutman, of Jacksonville, FL,
Kelly Johnson, of Emerald Isle, Mary Troutman, of Gainesville, FL, and Thomas Troutman, of Jacksonville, FL;
great-grandchildren, Joslyn Grace Taylor, Brinley Cole Taylor, and Chase Rylan Taylor; and a
sister, Rosalie Morrow, of Sunset Beach, NC.
To offer respects and to honor a beautiful life of courage and grace, the family will receive friends following the service at the church.
