Mrs. Mattie “Pat” Parker Crawford, 92, widow of K.M. Crawford, died Sunday, July 18, 2010.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Crawford, a native of Greene County, lived in Washington, D.C. and Lexington, KY prior to moving to the Bell Arthur community in 1947. She served as Post Master at Bell Arthur Post Office for a number of years and was the first employee of Bell Arthur Water Corporation, serving as cashier and book keeper from 1978-1988. She was a member of Arthur Christian Church.
In addition to her husband Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Parker.
She was survived by one sister, Alice Parker Oglesby, of Winterville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
