Clayton Daniel McGowan, 19, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010.
The funeral service will be conducted Saturday 11 am in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Clayton was a lifelong resident of the Winterville and Ayden communities. He attended Chicod School and D.H. Conley High School and was currently enrolled in Pitt Community College. He had been employed in the tree service business for many years. He attended Freedom Baptist Church and spent many happy hours hunting and fishing with his father.
He is survived by his:
mother, Tina Maria Walls, of the home;
father, Randy McGowan and wife, Mary Liz, of Ayden;
sister, Stephanie Radford, of Greenville;
step-sisters, Tia Holloman, and
Janelle Harrison, both of Greenville;
maternal grandmother, Myrtle Jones, of Winterville; and
paternal grandparents, June and David Dawson, of Kinston.
The family will receive friends Saturday at 9:30 am until the funeral hour at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
