Obituary for Charlie William Ross

Charlie W. Ross, 74, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 AM in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Ross, the son of the late Charlie A. Ross and Zeola T. Ross, was a native and lifelong resident of Pitt County. He worked many years with Sunbeam Bread and Carolina Dairy. Most recently, he was self-employed as owner and operator of a landscaping company.

He is preceded in death by his brother, J. Carlton Ross.

He is survived by his fiancé, Linda McDonald and by his beloved canine, Lexie; daughter, Wendy Tyson and husband, Carroll; son, Johnnie Ross and wife, Jerri, all of Greenville; sisters, Shirley Rouse of Ayden, Barbara Skinner of Greenville, and Jeannette Scholle and husband, Stephen, of Florida; brother, Wayland Ross and wife, Kathleen, of Greenville; grandchildren, Ashleigh Sutton, Amy Donnolly and husband, Shane, Josh Tyson, Kaley Ross, Morgan Ross, and Walker Ross and 6 great grandchildren.

Following the service, the family invites friends to share in a meal and share good memories in honor of Charlie at Pleasant Hill Church on Highway 43.
