Obituary for Frank Ray Kilpatrick, Sr.

Frank Ray Kilpatrick, 59, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 3 PM in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7-9 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Ray would like to let you know his work here is done. He received a deal that he could not refuse. This offer came with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with his son, Jon Paul Nichols, his mom and first love, Jenny Joyner Kilpatrick, who absolutely adored him, and his father, Frank Marion Kilpatrcik aka: Shorty (a little fireball). This new job comes with job security of 110%. His new mission takes him to a wonderful location where there will be socializing, dancing, beautiful cars, laughter, love, loving Jesus and the food is awesome. Ray left detailed instructions for his family and friends to celebrate his mission here on earth and not abiding by these instructions will not be tolerated. Ray’s instructions are as follows:

To my son, Frank Ray Kilpatrick, Jr. aka: “Ray Ray”, the moment the doctor handed you to me, you took my breath away. I was the proudest father there ever was. I taught you everything good that I know. Son, you have made me so proud with the fine young man you have become. Stay strong son, your daddy has 100% trust that you can do this. To my first born son, Jon Paul Nichols, I loved you more than you will ever know and I was so very proud of you. I have so much more that I could say to you here, but now that we’re together, I’ll just tell you myself! To Tedi Jo Owens, you have been like a daughter to me. I love you baby girl, take care of my boy. To my girlfriend, Stacy Jones aka “Jonesie”, I love you and thank you for being my partner in life, keep the unicorns flying. To my first friend and sweetest most loving sister a guy could have, Ann Kilpatrick Bynum, I love you so much and always know that I will always be with you. You will never be without me for my spirit will always be there. To the mother of my boys and my former wife, Virginia Kilpatrick, I have 100% faith in you to always love and have my boy’s backs. Thank you for always being there for all of us. To my grandson, Jonathan Isiah Gorham, make granddaddy proud, son, I love you. To Isabella Blake Nichols “Bella”, your NeNe loves you more than you can ever imagine. You have brought so much joy and happiness into my life. NeNe will always have your back. Enjoy that candy apple red mustang when you turn 16 and hit the gas for Nene one time. To my new granddaughter, Sophia Journey Nichols, I didn’t get to spend much time with you, but I love you with all of my heart. To my best beach buddies Mike Morris and Chris Graves, thanks for all that you have done, for all of the fun, laughs, and crazy jokes. Most of all, thanks for having my back. It’s up to you guys to keep it going, I love ya! To my brother in law, Ralph, thanks for being so good to my sister, take care of her for me. To Brett and Jordan, Uncle Ray loves you always! Last but certainly not least, to all of my friends, fly high until we meet again at that big auction in the sky.
