Obituary for Tommy Joel Peaden

Mr. Tommy J. Peaden, 65, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019, at his home.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 1 PM at Falkland Presbyterian Church, by Pastor Kelly Lindsey. Burial will be private.

Mr. Peaden, a native and lifelong resident of Pitt County, had lived all of his life in the Falkland Community. He was a member of the Falkland Presbyterian Church, where he taught Sunday School. Tommy enjoyed digging for Sharks teeth and collecting license plates and old bottles. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to all, Tommy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Peaden was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Skinner Peaden.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna Peaden; daughter, Jennifer Anderson and husband, Clay of Greenville; sons, John Peaden and Tommy Joel Peaden, II, both of Falkland; grandchildren, Piper Anderson and Saylor Anderson; father, Linwood Earl Peaden; brother, Lenny Peaden and wife, Annette of Edenton, and sister-in-law, Nanette “Peanut” Hill of Falkland

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
