Obituary for Jesse Windom

Jesse Windom, 95, of Greenville, passed away at home on March 22, 2020.

A Private Committal Service will be held in Hollywood Cemetery, Farmville, NC.

Mr. Windom was born on November 27, 1924 in Edgecombe Co, NC to Frank and Adelaide Windom. He attended the local schools. He was drafted during WW II and proudly served in the Army, Infantry Division. He spent his career as a Farmer and worked throughout Pitt, Greene and Edgecombe Counties. Jesse loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gladys Joyce Tyson Windom. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; a son, Jesse Ray Windom and wife, Connie, of OR and a daughter, Sondra Ellis and husband, James, of GA; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; 2 great great grandsons; one sister, Rosa Jones and a very special friend who was more like an adopted son, Mr. Steve Baker.
